Are you writing a text in American or British English and want to make sure it's error-free? I work quickly, professionally and discreetly. I can usually complete work on short texts (less than one page) within a day.

I have over twenty years of experience as a professional author and editor with publishers such as Cornelsen and Klett. I will meticulously proofread your text for style, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. I also check for consistency and logic.

Procedure

1. You send the following to hello@rebecca-kaplan.com:

   • Your name and address for billing

   • Your work (generally as a Word document)

   • The desired completion date

2. I get back to you with my offer, usually within a few hours.

3. You confirm the order at the quoted price by email. New customers make an advance payment of 50% of the estimated total price.

4. I proofread your text using Word's review and comment tracking mode so all changes and comments are visible. Upon request, you can also receive the text with the highlighted changes as a PDF.

5. You will receive your corrected text and invoice by email.

I'm happy to answer any questions you may have before or after proofreading. In-depth discussions about the finished text may incur additional charges: I will let you know ahead of time if this is the case.

The minimum fee per assignment is €20 (plus 19% VAT) for European clients / $25 for US clients.
